Exhibitions and Lectures
The Department of Art’s Exhibition and Lectures Program contributes to the energy and vitality of the department, university and Auburn community by providing significant opportunities to view the work of contemporary artists from across the United States and listen to lectures by visiting artists, scholars and critics. Student discourse with guest speakers is encouraged through class meetings, critiques, collaborations, and workshops.
The exhibitions and lectures program seeks diversity in myriad forms and endeavors to inspire and broaden viewpoints while fostering cultural and creative enrichment in the lives of our campus and civic communities.
Exhibitions are presented in Biggin Gallery, located in Biggin Hall, a cornerstone building of Auburn University campus located at the heart of downtown at Toomer’s Corner in Auburn, Alabama.
Past artists and scholars include Jack Beal, Roger Brown, Dan Cameron, Frank Stella, Donald Kuspit Dr. Elizabeth Braun and Phillip Pearlstein.
