In a climate of diminishing state support for public higher education, private donations are becoming more crucial in helping the College of Liberal Arts maintain and enhance the quality of its many excellent programs in the Fine Arts, Social Sciences, Communications, and Humanities. The College is grateful to its many supporters whose generosity enables us to fulfill our mission. Mary K. Baird '81, Director of Development, and Wendy Bonner '97, Director of Development, are dedicated to helping you maintain close ties with Auburn and to increasing your awareness of the many funding needs in the College.

A major development goal is to build the College's endowment, a permanent fund whose investment income is used for student support, faculty support and programmatic support . Gifts can also be designated as unrestricted to the Dean's Discretionary Fund, which provides flexibility in prioritizing these funds for the most timely projects and crucial needs or gifts may be designated to your area of interest. The Dean's Advisory Council, the Dean's Circle Club , and the Dean's Pyramid Club are some of the ways alumni can become involved in supporting the College of Liberal Arts.
