Job Summary: The individual in this position, will, under limited supervision, frequently use discretion and judgment to focus on multiple technologies and services, with emphasis on audio/visual services and technologies. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting physical maintenance of equipment, distributing and collecting equipment from faculty and students, training and supporting in using the equipment, developing user documentation and instructional information, participating in the creation of College of Liberal Arts related media projects, and promoting new technologies for media creation. Additional essential functions include: ensure materials, manpower, equipment, and supplies are available and delivered to the proper location; maintain and repair equipment and manage upgrades as needed; develop recommendations for purchase and selection of specialized instructional equipment; operate media equipment and lead or assist production crews; instruct/train others to operate equipment and provide a wide range of support services; and be responsible for equipment-related budgeting, inventory, warranty tracking and property.

Minimum Qualifications: The minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year experience in multiple technologies and services, with emphasis on audio/visual services and technologies. ? Early United States History

The Anthropology Program at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level starting August 16, 2009. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Anthropology at the time of appointment, and a record of excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in Anthropology and Women's Studies. Candidates with teaching and research experience in the anthropology of gender are desired.

The position will involve a commitment to teaching one course per semester in the Women's Studies program along with teaching, research and service responsibilities in Anthropology. The teaching load is 1/2 in Anthropology and includes a four-field introductory course in the university core curriculum, lower level anthropology courses in family and gender, and upper level specialized courses that contribute to the university's expanding interest in diversity and global education. Area focus is open. Tenure will be earned in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work.

Theatre | Assistant Professor
Dance

Auburn University Theatre invites applications for a Tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Dance beginning August 2009. Responsibilities include teaching all levels of modern, jazz, ballet and/or tap in strong theatre program with growing dance minor and music theatre performance degree track. Additional duties include coordinating annual dance theatre production, choreographing main stage productions, student advisement, and participation in departmental and university governance. M.F.A., college teaching experience and prior record of artistic/professional achievement required. Professional experience beyond the academic arena preferred. Experience in dance composition, improvisation, dance history, kinesiology, conditioning, Laban, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Alexander or other recognized system of movement training strongly desired. Ability to collaborate as a member of a well established artistic team essential. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Starting date August 16, 2009.
