Blackboard
Auburn University is shifting from its old Course Management System, WebCT Campus Edition, to Blackboard. (Note for anyone familiar with Blackboard, this is what was formerly known as WebCT Vista before Blackboard bought WebCT).
The implementation of Blackboard is moving forward gradually. Faculty members can migrate their WebCT courses to Blackboard or they can start from scratch. The Instructional Multimedia Group can help with either process (844-5181).
Summer 2008 is the last term that both systems run parallel, by Fall 2008, only Blackboard will be available to faculty.
The IMG is offering regular workshops in Blackboard, and the college IT staff is also offering help in this transition.
