Sophos for College of Liberal Arts Computers

In June 2009, Auburn University will have finished its switch from McAfee to Sophos, its new anti-virus software. For more information about this switch read OIT's information.

Computers, both Windows and Mac, in the College of Liberal Arts that are either all the time (desktop) or regularly (most laptops) on campus will have Sophos installed by the College IT Staff, and Sophos will be managed by the CLA IT Staff.

University-owned computers that are practically never on campus (computers bought with grant funds or laptops for primary home use) will need to use the home installation of Sophos.

For questions about Sophos and its installation on university-owned computers, please contact Michael Chesnutt at chesnmw@auburn.edu.
