Deron Overpeck (Ph.D. University of California, Los Angeles) teaches critical media studies classes including History of the American Film Industry, History of International Cinema, Media and Reality among others. His research focuses on American cinema since 1950, the horror film and Italian cinema, and has appeared in Film Quarterly and the anthologies American Films of the 1980s and The Glow in Their Eyes.
