Kevin Smith is an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication in the area of RTVF. A native of Birmingham,Alabama Kevin received his BFA in Graphic Design from Auburn University and his MFA in Communication Design from Louisiana Tech University. His work in design and photography has been exhibited in several regional juried shows, and has been published in CMYK magazine. He collaborates with clients across the country on a wide variety of projects including logos, brochures, posters, and websites. Kevin's research involves studying the aesthetic nature of letterpress and other analog methods of printing for communication.

2009 News:
Two of Kevin Smith’s designs (Jay Sanders Film Festival logo and Love Your Heart Run letterpress) have been selected to be published in the forthcoming book “Designing for the Greater Good” by Peleg Top and Jonathan Cleveland (HarperCollins, 2010).

Jay Sanders Film Festival Logo won a Silver Award in the Branding Design Category and the JSFF Poster as an Honorable Mention in the Poster Design Category for the 39th Creativity Annual Awards along with being published in Creativity Awards Annual Book. This year thousands of entries were received from all over the world and the winners selected by this year's panel represent 36 countries and 32 U.S. states.
