Hollie Lavenstein has made short experimental and narrative films about the nature of artistic creation, the terrors of domesticity, and the indignities of modern life. They have screened and won awards at various international festivals and venues: The Chicago International Film Festival, AFI Fest, South By Southwest Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, The Black Maria Film Festival, The Sundance Channel, and The Corcoran Museum of Art. She is currently at work on a new film, Office Hours, which explores the student excuse as a kind of genre.
