PROFESSOR (BS, 1964, Illinois State University; MS, 1968, Florida State University; Ph.D., 1969, Florida State University).
Dr. James L. Fitch teaches courses in the area of speech and hearing science, phonetics, and anatomy/physiology. He has written a textbook and many research articles in almost every area of communication disorders. Dr. Fitch has a national reputation in the area of applying computer technology to speech-language pathology and audiology. He is dual certified in both areas by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. His most recent area of interest is the area of accent reduction.
