The Department of Communication Disorders is housed in the College of Liberal Arts.

Degrees offered:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Communication Disorders
  • Masters’ degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Doctorate degree in Audiology

Programs accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

U.S. News and World Report Magazine has ranked Auburn’s Audiology and Speech Pathology programs within the Top 50 programs nationally. Audiology and Speech Pathology training programs were two of the four AU programs to be ranked in the Top 50 in their respective fields in the United States.

The department reflects the three missions of Auburn University in the areas of instruction, research and outreach.
