Martin Fashbaugh
Martin Fashbaugh is finishing his requirements for a PhD from Purdue University's Department of English. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in History and English from Iowa State University and a Master of Art's degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Martin's dissertation, "The Economy of Jealousy in Nineteenth-Century British Literature," examines how nineteenth-century narrative poets and novelists used jealousy as a means of facilitating the dynamic interplay between lyrical and fictional discourses. Martin's research interests include Romantic and Victorian poetry, the nineteenth-century novel, genre theory, psychoanalytic criticism, and cultural studies.
