- I am a Projects Analyst in the Office of the Provost at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My son Taylor is a wireless engineering major at Auburn. My daughter Sarah is a freshman at Birmingham-Southern. My son James is a junior at Homewood High School.
I was an English instructor and Chairman of the English Department at Houston Academy in Dothan, AL for 13 years before my return to Birmingham. For 15 months after my return, I was Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of DAXKO, a software company located in Homewood. I also tutored for the ACT and SAT for a number of years.

Prior to relocating to Virginia, he had lived and worked in Atlanta, GA for 15+ years doing corporate staffing and technical recruiting for several organizations. Future plans include either a graduate degree in Human Resources or perhaps a Masters Degree in Education. Tom is married and has twin boys, Jack and Spencer.
