Education: Ph.D., Louisiana State University

Research & Teaching Interests: Working in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Spanish literature, Dr. McVay researches the use of classical mythology, women writers, Aragonese writers, and the use in poetry of ocular metaphors and images related to epistemology. He is currently editing for publication the poetry of Juan de Moncayo y Gurrea.
