Waiting List Procedures for Spanish

This will direct you to an email account where you will need to provide the following information:

  • User name or User ID (example: doejohn or slp0001)
  • Classification (Freshman, Sophomore, etc.)
  • All class times that fit your schedule (example: 10, 11, 12, 2, or 4)
  • Your preferred class time (10am)
  • Switching levels? Indicate if you are already registered in a course

If you are switching levels, then you must indicate the FLSP section you want to add and you should also indicate which course should be dropped from your schedule.

Once you follow these steps, you will receive an automatic response confirming your submission. It will say that you have been added to the waiting list and that you will receive an email if you are to be placed in a class.

We will work as promptly as possible on the waiting list in the order messages are received. Therefore, we would appreciate your patience in this process by not sending multiple emails, calling, or stopping by the office of Foreign Languages and Literatures. This will only delay the process for all involved.

Many significant and worthwhile careers are not open to monolingual individuals. They are open to anyone willing to invest the time and effort into honing a skill that separates you from the vast majority of professionals in the workforce today. I have been truly blessed in my work, and my efforts to learn Spanish have been richly rewarded.
