GENERAL INFORMATION

Auburn University will offer an intensive academic program from July 3 to July 29 in Angers, France for undergraduate and graduate students and teachers of French. Travel dates for the program will be July 2, and July 29, 2006.

LOCATION: Angers, France

Angers is a beautiful, historic city of approximately 250,000 inhabitants, located in the heart of what is often referred to as le jardin de la France (the garden of France), so-called because of its mild climate, numerous castles, and formal flower gardens. This region is also renowned for the purity of the French language spoken here. Many cultural activities are available in and around the city, including visits to monuments, museums, the annual Festival d’Anjou, (an internationally famous theater festival during the month of July), and other interesting tourist sites. PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

Students will be required to obtain a student VISA for entry into France due to the duration of this program and according to the regulations of the French Government . Your VISA paperwork is due to the AU Office of International Education (OIE), 201 Hargis Hall by May 1, 2006 in order to get your VISA prepared by the French consulate in the US.
