Willie Morris, Minor in Italian Studies 2006 Taking part in the Italian language program at Auburn was one of the most gratifying experiences of my college career. It allowed me to develop and refine my language skills as well as providing a solid knowledge of Italian history and culture. Dr. Summerfield and the foreign language department were always there to provide the right balance of learning and extracurricular events to keep things interesting. Working in an international business, my Italian Studies minor not only helped me communicate directly, but has also helped me grasp other languages quickly as well as fostering an openness and understanding of other cultures.
