APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Space is limited and students must file formal applications as soon as they know for sure they are participating. Complete the Auburn Abroad Application and submit it to the Program Director by April 15. Non-Auburn University students must also be accepted as transient students by AU ($25 fee) and attach a transcript to qualify for the Summer Abroad program. All AU and non-AU students must submit a completed Auburn Abroad Package. (Download at: www.auburn.edu/studyabroad "Forms").

FORMAL PROGRAM ADMISSION

Completing and turning in the Auburn Abroad Application form. Auburn Abroad Package will also need to be completed. Formal acceptance letter will be sent to you. Upon admission to the program all participants will be responsible for full payment of all fees and costs.

PAYMENT AND WITHDRAWAL DATES
After April 8: Withdrawal with $1000 penalty.
After May 1: Withdrawal with 50% refund.
May 7: First half of Program Fee due to Bursar.
June 1: No refunds after this date.
June 4: Second half of Program Fee due to Bursar.
OTHER KEY DATES
February 1: Suggested early application deadline.
April 15: FINAL Application deadline for program. Late applications will be considered on a space available basis only.
June 12: You must have your PASSPORT in your hands.
June 29, 2010: Program Start Date

After four months in Spain I realized that I could speak Spanish and that all my hard work over the years had paid off in a concrete way. I feel that each of the students that went for the study abroad came away with a stronger sense of their own culture as well as a sense and understanding of the Spanish culture.
