Mark Wilson (Auburn History Ph.D., 2005) is the Program Manager for the Alabama Center for the Book's Community Cultural Programming Initiative at Auburn's Center for the Arts and Humanities at Pebble Hill. At Auburn, he wrote his dissertation, "Advancing Progressive Orthodoxy: William Owen Carver and the Reconciliation of Progress and Southern Baptist Tradition," under the direction of Professor Wayne Flynt. He received his Master of Divinity degree from McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University (2000), and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mobile (1997).
