Ben Berntson, assistant editor of the Encyclopedia of Alabama, has a BA in Liberal Arts from Auburn University Montgomery.

After bouncing between fishing and newspaper jobs in Southeast Alaska long enough to realize neither was for him, he moved to Alabama to finish his degree and find editorial work that did not involve angry calls about little league or midnight deadlines.

Ben hopes to soon enroll in the Master's of Technical and Professional Communication program at Auburn University.
