On November 4, 2005, Margaret Sankey (Auburn History Ph.D., 2002) visited the Department to discuss the job market and offer practical suggestions for success. Sankey, who completed her dissertation under the direction of Professor Daniel Szechi, is a professor in the History Department of Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Auburn graduate student Greg Markley compiled a detailed write-up of some of Sankey's suggestions for how to secure a tenure-track position in history.
