MA Program

Admission to the MA program is usually limited to students in archival studies, secondary school teachers desiring to upgrade their certification, and probationary candidates for admission to the doctoral program. Doctoral students may also terminate their graduate study with an MA. Thirty-one hours of coursework and a thesis are required for the MA degree. The MA degree program is an introduction to graduate study, therefore it is not structured as to fields of concentration except with respect to the area of the thesis.
