Paul Fox earned a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2002. His Political Science studies focused on International Politics and his studies in History focused on Urban and Constitutional History. In 2005 he received his MA in History from UTSA. His Master's program was focused in American Diplomatic and Constitutional history.

At Auburn, Paul's major field of study was Early Modern Europe under the direction of Drs. Donna Bohanan and Daniel Szechi. He completed a minor field with Dr. Abigail Swingen that focused on religion in Stuart Britain as well as one in Modern Europe with a focus on post-emancipation Russia under the direction of Dr. Michael Melançon. As a PhD candidate Paul is working under Dr. Christopher Ferguson on a dissertation that examines the impact of the Glorious Revolution on the Anglican/Episcopal establishments in England and Scotland. His research addresses the relationship between the English and Scottish Episcopal Churches in the late Stuart period, 1688-1714.

Paul has presented papers at the Southeastern American Society for Eighteenth Century Studies (SEASECS) and the Southern Conference on British Studies. In 2008 Paul won first place in the Humanities division at the Graduate Student Council Research Forum as well as the departmental Graduate Colloquium Award for best presentation. In 2009 he was honored with the Milo B. Howard award for graduate research. Recently, Paul has taught courses on World History, Early Modern, and Modern Europe.
