Josh Barronton is originally from Birmingham, Alabama; he received his BA in History from the University of Montevallo in May 2008. He entered the Masters Program at Auburn in the fall of 2008, and is working towards his MA in Early Modern English History, with a focus on the reign of King James I and the court of his son, Prince Henry, in the early seventeenth-century. He studies under Dr. Donna Bohanan. In 2009 he was the recipient of the Graduate Colloquium Award for Best Paper. Josh currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for Phi Alpha Theta.
