Abby Sayers received her BA in History from Auburn University in May 2008. She entered the Masters Program at Auburn in the fall of 2008, and is on track to receive her MA in Early Modern English History in May 2010. She studies under Dr. Christopher Ferguson and her focus is on the cultural history of Britain during the long eighteenth century, with special interests in gender, print culture, and scandal. She is a recipient of the Edna Floyd Booth Graduate Award for 2008-2009, which will help fund a trip to do archival research for her thesis in England, and she will serve as an officer for Phi Alpha Theta for the 2009-2010 academic year.
