Lt. Col. Kristal Alfonso is a part time PhD student and a full time Defense Analyst at the Air Force Research Institute at Maxwell Air Force Base. She is interested in Modern European History, Women's History, and History of Technology. She is a KC-135 pilot and has been in the Air Force for over fifteen years. Her husband is also a KC-135 pilot and is currently working on his PhD in Applied Mathematics at Auburn.
