Assistant Professor
Early Modern British History

The Department of History at Auburn University invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the history of early modern Britain and its empire before 1750, specialization open. The appointment will begin August 16, 2010. Ph.D. in History prior to employment date is preferred, but outstanding candidates who are in the final stages of dissertation writing (ABD) will be considered. However, appointment to the tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor requires the earned doctorate by August 15, 2010. The appointee will be responsible for teaching graduate seminars and undergraduate courses in areas of specialization and courses in the core curriculum.
