Scholarship Auditions
All students must have an application on file in the University admissions office before they will be assigned an audition time.
Instrumental Auditions for Music and Music Education majors
The instrumental auditions will be held in Auburn's Goodwin Music Building. Auditions for those entering school in 2008-2009 will be during the 2007-2008 school year on the dates below. Applicants will be notified of their audition time one week after the application deadline.

Vocal Auditions for Music and Music Education majors

Prospective Music & Music Education Majors may register as a prospective student, complete an information sheet and select an scholarship audition date.
(Generally departmental scholarships range from about $300.00 to $1,500.00.)

Location
Where is it? All auditions will take place at Goodwin Music Building Recital Hall on the Auburn University Campus. Goodwin Hall is Located on Samford Avenue. The recital hall is on the ground floor. View a map...
Scholarship Audition Requirements
Instrumentalists may be asked to play major scales (two or three octaves as appropriate to each instrument), and to sight-read.
Additional requirements for specific performance areas are:
- Woodwinds, Brass, and Strings: instrumentalists should prepare one movement of a standard concerto, sonata, or the equivalent.
- Percussionists: a solo on snare drum, tympani, and keyboard mallets. (One solo for each instrument.)
- Keyboard: applicants should prepare two contrasting selections.
