Requirements

1.  Apply to the University (online) as early as possible to take advantage of the Early Action rounds. Submit all required materials to the University, such as the $40 application fee, your official ACT and/or SAT scores, and your official high school transcript by the deadlines. Students should visit the Office of Admissions and Recruitment website for details on University application procedures, application deadlines, and other necessary information.

We strongly encourage all prospective students to apply to the University as early as possible.  Applicants with excellent academic credentials can be admitted to the University as early as October 15 (Early Action decisions are made by October 15 for students who meet the Early Action criteria and have completed an application by October 1). The third round and final decisions will be made by February 15 for all applicants with a decision pending and those who complete an application by February 1.  The priority application for admission deadline is February 1, 2010.

2.  Submit the Intent to Major or Minor Form (online) as early as possible following application to the University. The priority deadline is February 1. There is no fee associated with this form. This required form is used to gather information, both musical and academic, that helps faculty understand both the background and intentions of prospective music students. Students that have worked with or been recruited by one of our performance faculty or ensemble directors still need to submit the form. Students who are not yet ready to apply can register as a prospective student to receive information and be added to our database.
