Music Scholarships at Auburn

There are several types of scholarships available to incoming and continuing students in the Department of Music at Auburn University. These include Departmental Scholarships, Scholarships for Band and Orchestra participation, and several scholarships which are awarded by independent organizations.

Departmental Scholarships

The Music Department offers performance based scholarships to vocalists and instrumentalists who are majoring in music performance or music education. These include general scholarships, band scholarships, and orchestra scholarships. Included within this category are a number of endowed scholarships. A single audition, at one of the departmental audition dates, is sufficient to be considered for all of these scholarships.

Band Scholarships

Both incoming students and those who are already members of the Auburn Band may audition for a band scholarship. You do not have to be a music major; students majoring in all curricula are eligible. For incoming music and music education majors who are auditioning for scholarships at the link above for departmental scholarships, it is not necessary to audition again for bands.
