- Students may request a spot on the waiting list for specific PHIL classes. To do so, the student must contact Lydia Tignor (Haley Center, 6080) and supply the CRN# of the specific section wanted and his or her 902#. STUDENTS SHOULD SEE HER AT HER OFFICE IN THE PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT RATHER THAN USE EMAIL FOR JOINING THIS WAITING LIST. Spots will be awarded first-come, first-served (except for students who are graduating seniors this term). Being on a waiting list does not mean that the student should not continue to try to add a PHIL class himself or herself. Nor does being on a waiting list guarantee the student a spot in the course requested. The Department will add students through the third day of MWF classes and through the second day of TR classes. If a student who is on a waiting list succeeds in getting into a course himself or herself, we request that the student contact the Department via e-mail and remove himself or herself from the waiting list. If a student's turn on a waiting list comes up, but there is a problem adding the student (a hold, a conflict of classes, etc.), the student will be removed from the list and the spot will be given to the next eligible student.
