Liberal Arts Advisors
All students in the College of Liberal Arts have a liberal arts advisor. Students are assigned an advisor based on their last name. To find out who your advisor is and to make an appointment go to http://media.cla.auburn.edu/cla/advisement/index.cfm.
Departmental Advisor
The departmental advisor is Ms. Gail Holmes. She provides advising to both pre-major students and students in the HADM major. To make an appointment with Ms. Gail Holmes please email her at gmh0003@auburn.edu. The email should include:
- your full name
- the reason for the appointment
- when you are available (please provide several dates and times).
Ms. Gail Holmes is the best person to consult for several topics, including:
- Admission into the HADM major
- Signature for routine forms
- Course scheduling and registration questions
- Deadline information
- General education requirements
- Information on minors
- Information on University resources
- Transfer credits questions
- Course substitutions questions
- Graduation requirements
- Review of HADM audit
HADM advisors:
If you are a declared HADM major and you have questions concerning
graduate school, curriculum changes, career opportunities, or HA
coursework in general you need to make an appointment to see your
HADM advisor.
A student’s advisor is based on the first letter of the student’s
last name.
Dr. Mark Burns (burnsma@auburn.edu) is the advisor for A-M
Dr. René McEldowney (mceldrp@auburn.edu) is the advisor
for N-Z
