Previous Education/Degree:
B.A. from Ohio University
M.A. from Western Carolina University

Hometown:Akron, OH

Research Interests:
My broad interests include working with children and adolescents with behavior problems. I have more specific interests related to the assessment and treatment of juvenile sex offenders. I am interested in how public policy affects the type and course of treatment and evaluating the effects of treatment on recidivism rates.

Best advice for prospective students:
Make sure to choose a program that fits your needs and your interests. This includes the professor that you will be working for, the students in the program, and the town that you will be living in. You will be spending at minimum 3 years in your doctoral program and you want to enjoy being in the program that you choose. Take into consideration how you feel following the interview. If you have a good and positive feeling about the overall package the program is offering, then follow your instincts.

Favorite thing about Auburn, Alabama:
My favorite thing about Auburn is that it is a very different culture than I am used to. I enjoy new experiences and the Deep South definitely has much to offer. The Syrup sopping Festival in Loachapoka, AL is an event that I will always remember and will certainly not experience in any other part of the country. also, it never gets cold!
