The Department of psychology occupies the first two floors of Thach Hall, a recently renovated office and classroom building in the center of campus which contains faculty and graduate student offices, research space and seminar rooms. Additional laboratory, computer, and practicum facilities are located in other nearby buildings. All students are provided with free access to the Auburn University computer network and the internet, and technical support for computerized literature searches and various software programs including SPSS and SAS. Committed to meeting the standards of the Association of Research Libraries, Auburn has excellent library holdings, facilities, and support personnel.
Industrial/Organizational psychology students receive paid practicum training at a number of area organizations including Auburn University at Montgomery's Center for Business and Economic Development and the Fort Benning Field Station of the Army Research Institute. Many I/O students participate in paid internships before completing their doctoral work.
