Elizabeth Brestan Knight received her B.A. in Psychology from Emory University and her Ph.D. in Clinical & Health Psychology from the University of Florida. After completing an internship in pediatric psychology at the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami School of Medicine, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center on Child Abuse and Neglect at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Currently, she is an Associate Professor and a College of Liberal Arts Engaged Scholar at Auburn University Department of Psychology. Her research interests include the behavioral observation of parent-child interactions and dissemination of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
