Michael M. Steele is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Auburn University. He earned both a Master of Arts degree and a Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Kansas. More recently, he completed a predoctoral internship in pediatric and clinical child psychology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Steele has been trained in general clinical child and adolescent psychology, as well as pediatric psychology with a subspecialty in child obesity treatment. Research interests include the development and validation of health outcome measures for pediatric populations, adherence assessment in the context of pediatric obesity intervention, and program evaluation.
Dr. Steele also supervises the clinical work of doctoral students from the clinical psychology doctoral program who are working with children and adolescents in the Auburn University Psychological Service Clinic.
