Alpha Delta Mu
To be eligible for membership, a student must be a Social Work or Social Welfare major in a program that is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Students with a GPA of 3.0, junior standing and a history of community involvement are eligible for membership of the Beta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Mu. In addition to academic excellence, a student must have demonstrated leadership ability, a high standard of personal behavior and a dedication to social work practice. This chapter of national social work honor society holds a yearly initiation ceremony jointly each spring with the Alpha Eta Chapter at Tuskegee University. The initiates work closely with the AASSW and the faculty to sponsor educational programs and to plan participation in the Alabama/Mississippi Social Work Education Conference.
